ABOUT THE BLOG
In Summer 2018, I left my job as a government consultant in Washington, D.C. in order to travel for a little while. I bought a used RAV4 and spent half a year crisscrossing the U.S. and Canada, from Boston to Key West to the Alaskan Arctic and the rugged fjords of Newfoundland.
I slept in my car in Walmart parking lots, interstate rest areas, and spectacular spots off the beaten path: Alaskan beaches, the rim of an extinct Nevadan volcano, the shores of the Great Lakes. I visited national parks, cities, and small towns across the North American continent and saw countless sunrises and sunsets over landscapes I never dreamed I would be able to see.

My biggest regret from 2018 is that my memories are preserved only in photos, not in writing. Now, after a stint living in Colombia, I am back in the U.S. and back on the road. This time around, I'm making sure I document each step of the trip. This blog is a collection of stories, thoughts, ideas, and whatever else stood out to me during each day of the journey. If nothing else, it should have some pretty pictures.
